We all live in a yellow submarine
We were truly excited to be part of one of the region’s most colourful and innovative community projects – the Yellow Submarine at Holbrook.
Working with regional arts organisation Murray Arts, we were able to capture the global yarn bombing phenomenon as it came into our own local backyard. The techniques we used brought the project to life – showing the sheer scale, dimension and time taken to cover the iconic Holbrook Submarine in countless kilometres of yellow yarn.
Given the amount of global interest the project received online, the video we shot and produced was extra important at being able to give an extra dimension to the project and keeping the global audience involved.
We even helped stitch a few pieces together in the effort! We felt truly part of the project and able to participate in more ways than just capturing it on film – a great outcome for us at Mayfly.
